- Malcolm Turnbull wins his second term as Australia's Prime Minister on July 10, 2016; Turnbull is the leader of conservative Liberal-National coalition. The win did not come easy, Turnbull won by a slight majority over his competitor Bill Shorten, the Labor opposition leader. The battle does not end here for Turnbull, he must wait to see if his party holds a majority of the seats in the House of Representatives, as well as in the Senate.
