On Tuesday July 5, 2016, FBI director James Comey announces that he will not recommend charges for Hillary Clinton's recent email scandal after a thorough FBI investigation. He does, however, send a stern rebuke to Clinton and her aides for being extremely careless with sensitive government information—using a private, insecure email server while serving as secretary of state. The announcement that she won't be charged is a huge step forward for Clinton and her Democratic presidential campaign.
