Radovan Karadzic, the Bosnian Serb president during the war in Bosnia that raged from 1992–1995, was convicted of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity by a United Nations tribunal at The Hague, Netherlands, on March 24. Karadzic orchestrated the massacre of almost 8,000 Muslim men and boys in 1995 in Srebrenica.
