Ekimov, Alexei

Alexei Ekimov, 1945– , b. Leningrad, USSR, Russian physicist, studied at Leningrad State University and Ioffe Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ph.D., 1974). He is a scientist working in the field of nanomaterials at Nanocrystals Technology, Inc. Ekimov, along with Moungi Bawendi and Louis Brus, was awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in chemistry for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.
