Bawendi, Moungi

Moungi Bawendi, 1961–, b. Paris, France, American-Tunisian-French chemist, studied at Harvard University (B.A., 1982; M.A.1983) and the University of Chicago (Ph.D., 1988). He is the Lester Wolfe Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Bawendi, along with Louis Brus and Alexei I. Ekimov, was awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in chemistry for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.
