Fighting for Freedoms
Guaranteeing everyone freedom of expression frequently means granting rights to people who protest in ways or speak about issues one finds offensive. The recent cases I'll review in this section are no different—cross burning and child pornography. These activities offend a large segment of the population, but the freedoms granted all persons under the First Amendment protect even those who offend.
