Michelle Wolf

Comedian
Date Of Birth:
21 June 1985
Place Of Birth:
Hershey, Pennsylvania
Best Known As:
The 'Daily Show' comedian who spiced up the 2018 White House reporters' dinner
Michelle Wolf's comedy career got a big boost after she appeared at the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner and focused her insult power on the Donald Trump administration. A 2007 graduate of the College of William & Mary, Wolf worked in the financial industry until trying improvisational comedy. She performed well enough at stand-up that Wolf became a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2014, and then became a "correspondent" for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in 2016. Along the way she worked on stage, on other TV shows and in web series. In April of 2018 she joked for nearly 20 minutes, but a few of those were devoted to "lies" by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders (President Trump did not attend the dinner). Predictably, defenders of Donald Trump cried foul and called Wolf nasty names, while critics of the president cheered her as a champion of truth.
