French actress Eva Green was the "Bond girl" Vesper Lynd in the 2006 film Casino Royale (starring Daniel Craig). Trained at the Ecole d'Art Dramatique Eva Saint-Paul in Paris, she spent two years on the French stage before making her film debut in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers (2003). She appeared in the French film Arséne Lupin in 2004 (with Kristin Scott-Thomas), and then played a randy royal opposite Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven (2005, directed by Ridley Scott). After filming Casino Royale Green played in the film version of Philip Pullman's fantasy novel The Golden Compass, and also co-starred as Morgana in the 2011 cable TV series Camelot. Her other films include Dark Shadows (2012), 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) and Based on a True Story (2017, directed by Roman Polanski).
