Joad, Cyril Edwin Mitchinson
Joad, Cyril Edwin Mitchinson, 1891–1953, English philosopher. He became head of the department of philosophy at Birbeck College, Univ. of London, in 1930. As a rationalist, he was a successful lecturer and writer. After his conversion to religion he wrote Good and Evil (1943) and The Recovery of Belief (1953).
