Novi Ligure

Novi Ligure nōˈvē lēˈgo͞orā [key], town (1991 pop. 30,021), Piedmont, NW Italy. It is an industrial center and an important transportation junction. At Novi Ligure in 1799 the Austrian and Russian forces under Suvarov defeated the French under Joubert, who was killed.
