Monfalcone mōnfälkôˈnā [key], city (1991 pop. 27,223), in Friuli–Venezia Giulia, extreme NE Italy, near the Adriatic Sea. Manufactures of this modern industrial center include ships, airplanes, textiles, chemicals, and refined oil.
