Orešković, Tihomir, 1966–, Croatian business executive and political leader, prime minister of Croatia (2016). Known as
Tim,he attended McMaster Univ., Ontario, Canada (B.S., 1989, M.B.A., 1991), then worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the United States and Canada before moving back to Croatia as a pharmaceuticals executive. In Dec., 2015, following inconclusive parliamentary elections, Orešković, an independent, was named prime minister by President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, but his coalition government collapsed in June, 2016, over conflict-of-interest accusations against the leader of the largest party in the government, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
