Brock, Sir Thomas

Brock, Sir Thomas, 1847–1922, English sculptor. One of the leading sculptors under the reign of Victoria, he enjoyed a long and successful career. He became an Academician in 1891 and was knighted in 1911. His bust of Longfellow (Westminster Abbey) his colossal Victoria Memorial, in front of Buckingham Palace and his equestrian statue, Black Prince (Leeds), are notable examples of his work.
