Marlboro Music Festival

Marlboro Music Festival, chamber music festival held on the campus of Marlboro College, Marlboro, Vt., annually in July and August. Founded in 1951 by Adolf Busch, Rudolf Serkin, and several others and directed by Serkin until his death in 1991, it features performances by outstanding classical musicians and chamber groups; master artists perform with young professionals. The festival is now directed by pianists Richard Goode and Mitsuko Uchida. The Marlboro Festival also sponsors Musicians from Marlboro tours.
