Marlboro Music Festival
Marlboro Music Festival, chamber music festival held on the campus of Marlboro College, Marlboro, Vt. annually in July and August. Founded in 1951 by Adolf Busch , Rudolf Serkin , and several others and directed by Serkin until his death in 1991, it features performances by outstanding classical musicians and chamber groups;m aster artists perform with young professionals. The festival is now directed by pianists Richard Goode and Mitsuko Uchida. The Marlboro Festival also sponsors Musicians from Marlboro tours.
