Kevorkian had the 1998 event videotaped and CBS broadcast it on 60 Minutes. He was convicted of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in prison in April. “Doctor Death” has helped more than 130 people kill themselves and has been charged with doctor-assisted suicide four times. He was acquitted three times; the fourth trial ended in a mistrial.
