HENRY Robert Kirkland , a Representative from Wisconsin; born in Jefferson, Jefferson County, Wis., February 9, 1890; attended the public schools of his native city and the University of Wisconsin at Madison; engaged in the banking business; served as State treasurer 1933-1937; member of the Jefferson Municipal Water and Light Commission from November 7, 1939, to December 1, 1944; member of the State Banking Commission 1940-1944; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-ninth Congress and served from January 3, 1945, until his death; had been reelected to the Eightieth Congress; died in Madison, Wis., November 20, 1946; interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Jefferson, Wis.
