Age: 49Czech rock musician who in 1968 established the underground band the Plastic People of the Universe. The group championed human rights and democracy. Several band members wree arrested in 1976, and a group of students, artists, and intellectuals, including Vaclav Havel, rallied around their cause and formed a powerful movement that ultimately ushered in 1989's democratic revolution.
