Jack Bruen

turned a struggling Colgate basketball team which had endured 14 straight losing seasons into a winner during his nine years (1989-97) as head coach; led the Red Raiders to a share of three Patriot League titles and their first NCAA tournaments in 1995 and 1996; twice named the league's coach of the year, his 1992-93 squad won a school record 18-games; won the last game he coached just six days before his long battle with pancreatic cancer ended
