At the tender age of 14, Tucker shot to stardom with her hit song “Delta Dawn” (1972) and the album of the same name. Her second album, What's Your Mama's Name? (1973), matched her early success, and her single “Lizzie and the Rainman” topped country charts in 1975. Her liaison with singer Glen Campbell was celebrated in duets such as “Lovin' What Your Lovin' Does to Me” (1981). Tucker's switch to the country-rock sound in the 1980s lost her some fans, but her 1988 album Strong Enough to Bend was a hit. She published an autobiography, Nickel Dreams, in 1997. She and her family star in The Learning Channel reality series Tuckerville (2005– ).
