Despite 32 consecutive Top 20 singles in the UK, Australian sex bomb Kylie Minogue has barely made a dent in America— until now. Her worldwide hit single “Can't Get You Out of My Head,” a propulsive and frankly irresistible piece of dance fever, has been heating up the U.S. charts, setting the stage for this full-length blast.

It's designed to give the singer, dancer, actress, and British pinup fave the single name star status usually associated with the likes of Janet, Madonna, Mariah, and the like.

Fever is a loaded with dance rhythms, most supporting fairly mundane songs. But the techno-tiered production is what's pushed up front. That's not enough to turn predictable cuts like “Give It To Me,” “Come Into My World,” and “Burning Up” into anything remotely memorable. But Minogue's sultry image and the thrust of can't “Can't Get You Out of My Head” will definitely help spin her toward a U.S. breakthrough. The disc also has a few other potential hit club tracks, including “More More,” “Dancefloor,” and the sweeter, boy-toy tale “Your Love.”
