Mann, 1969-1970; served on the Spartanburg County Council, 1975-1976; South Carolina senate, 1979-1986; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundredth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 1993); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress; died on November 10, 2018.
