Molfetta

Molfetta mōlfĕtˈtä [key], city (1991 pop. 66,839), in Apulia, S Italy, on the Adriatic Sea. It is a fishing port and light industrial center. Manufactures include cement, boats, and food products. There is an Apulian-Romanesque cathedral (12th–13th cent.).
