Quiriguá

Quiriguá kērēgwäˈ, kērēwäˈ [key], city of the Classic epoch of the Maya, E Guatemala. It is famous for its zoomorphics. Its stone steles have fine hieroglyphs. Near the ruins the United Fruit Company maintains a hospital.
