Oscar-nominated actor James Cromwell is another film star to make a go at the small screen. He plays a prominent U.S. senator from Washington who's thrown for a loop when he loses his bid for reelection. He returns home to his three grown daughters and has a difficult time adjusting when he learns that family does not run like a bureaucracy.
