SCOTT Hardie , a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pa., June 7, 1907; graduated from Taft School, Watertown, Conn., 1926, from Yale University, New Haven, Conn., 1930, and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Philadelphia, Pa., 1934; admitted to the Pennsylvania state bar, 1935; lawyer private practice; elected as a Republican to the Eightieth, Eighty-first, and Eighty-second Congresses (January 3, 1947-January 3, 1953); was not a candidate for renomination in 1952; died on November 2, 1999.
