2001 FIFA Under-17 World Championship

The World Cup for Under-17 national teams. Held in Trinidad & Tobago from Sept. 13-30, 2001. In the first round, 16 teams were separated into four groups of four for round robin play. The top two finishers from each group advanced to the quarterfinals.
