Semifinals

1998 Final

Sweden romped to a 5-0 sweep of the United States in the 1997 Davis Cup Finals. It was the Swedes' sixth Davis Cup title overall and their fifth in the last 13 years. The Finals shutout was the first since Sweden blanked India in 1987. The Americans hadn't been shutout in the finals since 1973, when they were crushed by Australia.
