won world world heavyweight title with unanimous dec. over champion Evander Holyfield on Nov. 13, 1992; lost title to Holyfield on maj. dec. Nov. 6, 1993; served 17 months in prison for kidnapping his first wife and their 5 kids in 1998; began unlikely comeback in 2004 at age 37.
