Jim the Boy

Earley, the acclaimed author of Here We Are in Paradise, brings out his much anticipated first novel. Much praised by literary litmus-testers Granta and The New Yorker, Earley's spare, elegant prose illuminates his story of a 10-year-old boy's coming of age in North Carolina in the 1930s. Fans of Kent Haruf's minimalist novel Plainsong (or any of Hemingway's novels, for that matter) will enjoy this ode to the innocence of American life.
