Rona Barrett

gossip columnist, entrepreneur
Born: 10/8/1936
Birthplace: New York, N.Y.

In 1957 Barrett became a gossip columnist for the Bell-McClure-NANA newspaper syndicate. In 1966 she began broadcasting over KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Barrett also edited three magazines on the entertainment industry. She regularly appeared on TV and is the author of three books, including her autobiography, Miss Rona. Barrett recently founded a company to sells skin care and food products using lavender, and has started a foundation to help the elderly. She still writes The Rona Report, covering the entertainment industry.
