Birthplace: Los Angeles
The vivacious actress, the daughter of Goldie Hawn and comedian-singer Bill Hudson, has inherited her mother's infectious charm, beauty, and the ability to steal every scene. Hudson expressed an interest in acting from a young age, but didn't break into film until 1998, in Desert Blue. Her work in 1999's 200 Cigarettes earned the attention of Hollywood. In late 2000, she appeared in Robert Altman's Dr. T and the Women and Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous. She won a Best Supporting Oscar nomination for her role as Penny Lane, a Band-aid who lovingly tends to the band members. Hudson grew up with Kurt Russell, Hawn's partner, as her father figure.
