Hanging Up| Director: | Diane Keaton | | Writers: | Delia and Nora Ephron | | Columbia Pictures; PG-13; 92 minutes | | Release: | 2/00 | | Cast: | Meg Ryan, Diane Keaton, Lisa Kudrow, Walter Matthau, Meg Ryan |
Hanging Up is a fluffy little film about three sisters drawn together by cellular phone connections and their dying father. Diane Keaton portrays a magazine editor, and Lisa Kudrow's her soap-opera actress sibling. As the unappreciated middle sibling stuck with taking care of her dying dad (Walter Matthau), Meg Ryan supports the movie's dramatic bulk. This says a lot. Unmemorable comedy from a troupe of decent talent.
