Professional comedy writer Leo Gorelick (Rahm) could make a sitcom out of his neurotic family. His parents (Tambor and Clayburgh) have been divorced for more than 20 years, though his mother can't get over her ex-husband, and his brother (Schaeffer), a doctor, is about to get married for the third time. Though he's forever trying to break free of its grip, Leo often finds himself playing mediator and problem-solver.
