Rush Hour

Chan's best outing relies as much on comic timing as it does his hyper-kinetic chop socky moves. Hong Kong detective Lee (Chan) takes an assignment in LA to help find a Chinese diplomat's 11-year-old daughter who's been kidnapped. He's partnered with LAPD loose cannon Carter (Tucker). Carter's initially reluctant to work with the fish out of water, but this is a buddy flick after all, and the odd couple becomes as tight as Lethal Weapon's Riggs and Murtaugh.
