Walter Trampler violist Born: 8/25/1915 Birthplace: Munich, Germany
An eminent violist and educator, Trampler taught at Juilliard, Yale School of Music, and Boston University. Before emigrating to the United States, he was first solo violist for Deutschlandsender Orchestra (1935–38). He played in numerous ensembles, such as New Music String Quartet (1947–55), and made several recordings. Died: 9/27/1997
