Charles Grodin actor, producer Born: 4/21/1935 Birthplace: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
A comedian who has played both romantic cads and evil villains with a straight face, Charles Grodin's diverse screen endeavors have included being obstetrician to Rosemary's Baby (1961) and amour to Miss Piggy in The Great Muppet Caper (1981). He won critical attention in The Heartbreak Kid (1972), Heaven Can Wait (1979), and Midnight Run (1988), and recently appeared opposite a St. Bernard in the Beethoven movies (1992, 1993). An accomplished writer, director, and producer, he has authored three books, including It Would Be So Nice If You Weren't Here (1989). He currently hosts a prime-time talk show on MSNBC.
