Timothy Hutton

actor
Born: 8/16/1960
Birthplace: Malibu, California

Oscar-winning actor who won an Academy Award in his big screen debut for his portrayal of a young man trying to cope with the death of his brother in Ordinary People (1980). He followed up with the critically acclaimed Taps (1981), but his subsequent performances—in The Falcon and the Snowman (1984), French Kiss (1995), Beautiful Girls (1996), and Playing God (1997)—have not lived up to his early promise. He was briefly married to actress Debra Winger (1988–90).
