Pop singer and songwriter known for her sultry voice and poignant lyrics. Her albums include Harbinger (1995), This Fire (1996), and Amen (1999). The daughter of a Polka band member and a visual artist, Cole took to music at a young age. After high school, she attended Boston's Berklee School of Music and played in local clubs before getting her big break opening for Peter Gabriel on his Secret World Live tour (1994) Her single “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” topped the charts for several weeks in 1996 and she has performed at The Lilith Fair (1997 and 1998), a national tour celebrating women in music.
