Matt Christopher

Birthplace: Bath, Pennsylvania

A prolific and award-winning author, he is best known for his sports novels for children as well as his many short stories and articles in numerous children's and adults' magazines. His first book for children, The Lucky Baseball Bat (1954), was in print for 25 years. His later works include Dirt Bike Racer (1986), The Spy on Third Base (1988), and Skateboard Tough (1994).
