Jimmy Buffett musician
Born: 12/25/1946
Birthplace: Pascogoula, Mississippi
Singer/songwriter best known for his humorous rock songs about love, beach-life and drinking, such as “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” Buffett's albums include Boats, Beachs, Bars & Ballads (1992), Banana Wind (1996) and Don't Stop the Carnival (1998). A graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi, Buffett is a resident of Key West, Florida where he owns the popular restaurant and music club, Margaritaville. He is also the author of A Pirate Looks At Fifty (1998), Tales from Margaritaville: Fictional Facts and Factual Fictions (1993), and Where Is Joe Merchant? (1993).
