Dennis Quaid actor, director Born: 4/ 9/1954 Birthplace: Houston, Texas
An actor known for playing tough but sensitive types, Dennis Quaid has carved out a niche far different than that of his brother, funny-man Randy Quaid. Dennis Quaid prefers to combine his interests in music and acting, as he did playing Jerry Lee Lewis in Great Balls of Fire! (1986). He made his feature film debut in Breaking Away (1975), then slowly gained recognition in films like The Right Stuff (1983), Wyatt Earp (1993) and Something To Talk About (1995). Other films include Dragonheart (1996), Switchback (1997), Everything That Rises (1998, which he also directed), The Parent Trap (1998), and Frequency (2000).
