Pink Floyd rock band
Born: 1964
A Grammy Award-winning British band known for merging progressive, ambient and blues influences into futuristic rock. Pink Floyd recordings include the music industry's biggest-selling album Dark Side of the Moon (1973), as well as Meddle (1971), Wish You Were Here (1975), The Wall (1979) and A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987). Current members include David Gilmour (guitarist); Nick Mason (drummer); and Richard Wright (keyboardist), and former members include Roger Waters (bassist) and Syd Barrett (guitarist).
