Penelope Ann Miller

Miller's performance in Neil Simon's Biloxi Blues (1988; she had previously appeared in the Broadway play) won critical attention, leading to a variety of high-profile roles, in The Freshman (1990) with Marlon Brando, Awakenings (1990) with Robert De Niro, and Carlito's Way (1993) as Al Pacino's girlfriend. On a completely different note, she gave Pee-wee Herman his first on-screen kiss in Big Top Pee-wee (1988).
