This hunky Hollywood leading man and supporting actor tackled many genres—westerns, crime and costume dramas, comedy, and biblical narratives—and played opposite glamour divas such as Betty Grable, Hedy Lamarr, and Rita Hayworth. His notable films include My Darling Clementine (1946), Samson and Delilah (1949), The Robe (1953), and After the Fox (1966).
