You could just say she was born to act. As the daughter of Days of Our Lives star John Aniston she was bitten by the acting bug early on, and landed several off-Broadway roles before turning to television. Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Rachel Green on the hit television series Friends (1994–2004) playing the part of a sexy, albeit somewhat ditzy and often short-tempered, waitress,-turned-Bloomingdales-buyer. Like her fellow cast-mates, she has parlayed her success on the series into a film career, with appearances in She's the One (1996) and 'Til There Was You (1997), and a starring role in Object of My Affection (1998). She received good reviews in the indie film The Good Girl (2002), and starred with Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty (2003) and Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly (2004). She married actor Brad Pitt in 2000, but the couple divorced in 2005.
