Alan Arkin actor, director Born: 3/26/1934 Birthplace: New York City
A stage and screen actor who won Academy Award nominations for Best Actor for his work in The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming (1966) and The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968). His other films include Wait Until Dark (1967), Catch-22 (1970), The In-Laws (1979), and Edward Scissorhands (1990). He also appeared as an episode of Chicago Hope as the father of Dr. Aaron Shutt, played by his son, Adam Arkin.
