His psychedelic-esque, droning guitar licks exist somewhere in blues space drifting eerily about, while his vocals, sparse and tormented, tell stories of broken love and exiled hearts. Kimbrough's maiden effort for Fat Possum, All Night Long (1992), remains one of the most haunting blues efforts of the 1990's.
