Michael Stipe

Lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning band R.E.M., one of the first bands to earn the alternative label. R.E.M.'s recordings include Murmur (1983), Document (1987), and Monster (1994). Stipe was involved in his band's award-winning videos and he has expanded his interest to feature-film production, including the acclaimed Being John Malkovich (1999).
