Academy Award-winning, genially handsome film actor whose name became synonymous with James Bond, the imperturbable superspy hero of Dr. No (1962), Goldfinger (1964), Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and others. Connery broke the Bond mold to establish himself as an all-around Hollywood star, aging remarkably well in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), The Rock (1996), Entrapment (1999), and Finding Forrester (2000).
