Academy Award-winning actor best known for his brash gangster role in Public Enemy (1931). But Cagney first performed as a song-and-dance man, appearing in comedies and musicals. His other films include Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), Love Me or Leave Me (1955) and Ragtime (1981). Died: 3/30/1986
